Amix Super Omega 3 fish oil is an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids in a natural ratio. Fish oil is an extremely important dietary supplement because it provides our body with fatty acids (DHA and EPA), the necessary amounts of which are extremely difficult to obtain from food. The fatty acid DHA can help maintain brain activity and many of its functions, and also supports healthy eyes. EPA together with DHA helps maintain normal heart function.

The recommended amount of acids (specifically DHA and EPA) is approximately 1,100 milligrams for women and 1,600 milligrams for men per day. Omega 3, as the name suggests, consists of 3 acids: ALA (alpha lipoic acid), DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).

DHA and EPA are most abundant in fish and fish oil supplements. EPA is found mainly in nuts, flaxseed, oils, and green vegetables. The body converts the short-chain omega acid EPA into the long-chain acids DHA and EPA, the potential benefits of which we have already discussed. However, in practice, the conversion of DHA to DHA and EPA is not very efficient. This leads to the problem that it is not so easy to get the necessary amount of DHA and EPA from food.
