Amix Super Omega 3 fish oil is an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids in a natural ratio. Fish oil is a very important food supplement because it provides our body with fatty acids (DHA and EPR), the required amounts of which are extremely difficult to obtain with food. The fatty acid in DHA can help support brain function and many of its functions, as well as support healthy eyes. EPR together with DHA helps maintain normal heart function.

The recommended amount of acids (specifically DHA and EPR) is approximately 1100 milligrams for women and 1600 milligrams for men per day. Omega 3, as the name itself indicates, consists of 3 acids: ALR (alpha lipoic acid), DHR (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPR (eicosapentaenoic acid).

DHA and EPR are most abundantly found in fish and fish oil supplements. ALR is mostly found in nuts, flax seeds, oils, green vegetables. The body converts the short-chain omega acid ALR into the long-chain acids DHA and EPR, the potential benefits of which we have already discussed. However, in practice, the conversion of ALR to DHR and EPR is not very efficient. This leads to the problem that getting the right amount of DHA and EPR from food is not so easy.
